In fact it is much harder than my previous life, but it is undoubtedly the best life I could be living.

I still have much fear inside of me when it comes to going through some of the dark valleys that Jesus is leading me through, but I know that what lies on the other side is well worth the journey. My enemy is like a roaring lion just waiting to pounce anytime I make a mistake. He is cunning, baffling, and powerful. But he is absolutely nothing compared to my God. Many times I find myself in tears feeling utterly destroyed inside. He's always telling me how useless I am and how big of a failure I am in my Christian walk. These of coarse are his lies in order to discourage me. Sometimes he does quite well in his attacks and his arrows pierce deep, and sometimes I am ready and equipped with the full armour God has given me, which can be found in Ephesians 6:13-18. I must remember to equip this armour daily in order to get through this dark valley I find myself being led through.

However I do consider myself a disciple of Christ and am willing to go through such dark places in order to receive the prize at the other end. I encourage you to put your faith in the man who stilled the water of the storm and allow him to guide you through the storms of your life. But be comforted for he is the God who is in control and although all may seem hopeless and impossible, with him all things are possible. This thinking and is entirely wrong. Religion and God are two entirely different things as a matter of fact. For the most part when people see a godly person they automatically call him a religious person. Although believing in God does have it's religious sides; most religious beliefs, rituals, and traditions are man made and completely worthless.

This is what Jesus taught when he was here on earth. The Pharisees and Saducees where a group of men who where extremely religious and tried to make it look like, from an outside perspective, that they where upholding all the different areas of the law and its rituals, customs, and traditions. But in there hearts they where far from God. (see Matthew 23)

It makes me sad to see so many people deceived in believing that it's all about "boring bible studies" and "boring church services". I assure you that with the Holy Spirit, both are quite exciting. But it's not so much about going to church or doing the outward gestures. The real Christian life is a personal relationship with God, which I believe can only be found through Jesus Christ. It is an exciting life of growth and challenges. And best of all is that that relationship we always wanted from others, the one where the person completely understands and knows us, but just unconditionally loves us anyway, comes only from God. And all we have to do is pursue it and we can have that, because God's love is perfect love. It's the best part, I find, of the Christian life.

Not that true religion doesn't exist; it says what true religion is in the bible in James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress (which could mean anyone in real need) and to keep oneself from being corrupted by the world." NNIV

So please don't get caught up in the religious rituals so many Christians have gotten into over the years, but search out who God truly is and what he wants for your life and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

May the Lord bless and show you the pathway to righteousness and peace.

Does Gravity Exist?

Does gravity exist?

Well I think most of us would say,"Of coarse it exists." But I ask you, how do we know it exists? We can not see it, touch it, smell it, hear it, or taste it. Not even one of our senses can sense gravity. Yet we are all so sure that gravity exists. Why?

It's because we can see the effects of it all around us. Even though we can not see gravity in itself, when we look around we can see everything bound to the earth. Unless they use some force to counter the gravitational pull, like a bird or plane. Gravity is the unseen force that binds all things to the earth. I think we would all agree on this.

Yet when it comes to the existence of God, there are so many people who deny he exists. God is in a way like gravity. He is the unseen force holding all existence together. Without him nothing that exists, would exist. This is even found in the bible in John 1:3. To deny God's existence is like denying the existence of gravity. Just because we can not sense him with our physical senses doesn't mean he is not there. Only a fool would claim that gravity doesn't exist. In my opinion the same is true about God, for we can see the effects of his existence all around us. Even in existence itself. Everything that exists,in itself,is a miracle of miraculous proportions.

Now it's one thing to accept that God exists. But it's an entirely different question altogether who he is and if we can know him personally. I assure you that if you can get to the point where you can accept that he is there, then perhaps you may be willing to search to find out if you can know anything about who he is. And that's the real question to be asked. You already know my answer. I urge you to find your own. Take care and God Bless.

Luke 11:9-10
"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Baptism in water!!!

I just went to a baptism, in water, the other day in Vegreville. It was quite the cool experience to see those people take the next step in there walk with God. Unfortunately I don't get to see that to often, because The Salvation Army doesn't baptize in water, for whatever reason. Not that it matters, cause if God calls us to be baptized, our adherent's simply have to go to a different church to get it done. I was baptized at a woman's house who's bible study I was in. The Spirit told me it was time, so I asked her and her husband, and they did it in there bath tub.

Why my church doesn't do it, is quite boggling to my mind. When the Word of God clearly states it should be done. But I know God led me to my church and I know his Spirit is in my home church. I see him working all the time. Still I think the Salvation Army has to wake up on this, cause it's really dumb that it's adherent's have to go elsewhere to be baptized.

Some believe baptism in water has to be done in order to go to heaven. I assure you that they are wrong. I think it's very good and important, but I do believe it is not necessary to get into heaven. Many people would disagree with me on that point, but I have much to make my case with.

First of all, I was re-born and came into the family of Jehovah God two years before I was baptized in water. There was one thing, and one thing only that allowed me into the family of God. And that was accepting and confessing the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and believing he was my saviour. Nothing else gets us to God but that. Not water baptism, communion, or any other rituals can get us to God. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, but through him.

Secondly there was that man on the cross beside Jesus who repented and confessed who Jesus was and asked for forgiveness. Jesus told him he would be in paradise with him, and he was forgiven of all of his sins without being baptized.

Still though I believe baptism is an outward gesture of an inward working. It is our hearts that God looks at and that need to be baptized and only he has the power to do that. But I certainly pray that God will set the Army straight and get them to start water baptizing again, because I really enjoy seeing people giving themselves over to the care of God. Not to mention the heart touching testimonies of God's awesome grace and power.

Wow we truly have an awesome God. My heart was filled with his compassion for all the suffering people in this world. One of which had entered into my church a couple Sundays ago.

As I sit there in the seat to the left of her, praying that God would touch her in some deeper way than he has even touched me. A great power came upon me and I knew my prayers where being answered. I looked over at the woman and saw that she was going crazy with the conviction of the Holy Spirit and I felt to go over and ask her to pray for her.

She was a woman in the later years of her life and was beaten down in every way imaginable. Physically, mentally, and most worst spiritually. Her roommate had just recently beat her to an inch of her life and her ribs were cracked, with her esophagus misaligned in the center of her body. Her head was bruised and a large scar was left. And I had found out the she was a crack addict, so she was extremely demonized.

As I went and asked if the woman would like prayer, she graciously accepted and I laid my hands upon her and began to pray. Gods power transferred through me into the woman and I could feel her ribs and esophagus begin to re-aline themselves. The love of God was pouring out upon her and all of her physical pain was taken away and cured.

Unfortunately the more important healing of the spiritual kind was left solely upon her. Whether or not she would cry out to Jesus and allow him into her heart was her choice to make. Apparently it was to much for her and she ran out of the church. Outside there were some demons waiting to torment her as she left the building. She grew very angry and upset as soon as she left with some ladies from my church, who gave her a ride home. I certainly pray that God will have mercy on her and that she will repent and come into the glorious life that God has for her.

A few weeks later while in my weekly JJam meeting the Holy Spirit hit me hard. People in the meeting were talking about there addiction to cigarettes and the Spirit told me to ask anyone who wanted free from this addiction to step out in faith and come talk to me after the meeting so I could pray with them. As a whole wack of them stayed afterwards, the Holy Spirit prompted me to ask them for there cigarettes. If they weren't willing to give them up, then God told me, he couldn't set them free at that time. After stating this many of them left outside to have a cigarette, but three people remained. I prayed, prompted by the Spirit, and broke the craving and addiction in Jesus' name. One of the ladies who was prayed for talked to me a week later and said she had not had a craving since. Her addiction was completely broken. I'll have to check with the other two when I see them, how they are doing. Hopefully well. But the temptation is always there. So they must be willing to deal with that. The physical and mental addiction however, I believe was completely broken.

So Praises be to the Almighty God!!! May we all marvel at his incredible healing power. I ask you to turn your eyes to him and search for a miracle and you just might find it. Till next time take care and God Bless!!!

Taking time out for God

Sometimes I get so caught up in living life that I sometimes forget to just take some time to have between God and myself. It's during these times of one on one that I really get a chance to really pour my heart out to God and realize some of the things lingering deep inside of my soul.

The river valley during this time of year is a beautiful place to go and pray in solidarity. It just screams out the glory and magnificence of God in the beautiful landscaping and the way the sky lights up as the sun falls lower and lower in the sky. I just look at the magnificent beauty of this world and wonder how I ever was able to deny the existence of a creator of it all. The chance that this is all just a chance and ended up this magnificent is just way to high to even conceive of for me now.

But that one on one time with God is when you really grow close in your relationship with him. Which true Christianity is really all about. It's this that God craves to have with all his people, but he never forces himself on anyone. It is us who have to choose to take the time out to spend in prayer and meditation with him. So to anyone who is reading this and knows God is there I recommend taking some time just talking to God with a sincere heart. Not asking him for help, not repeating the same old prayers of forgiveness and thanksgiving, although these things are very good to do and will come out as you pray to him. But rather what I speak of is just talking to him about your life and everything in it. And as you grow to know more and more of him, you will undoubtedly learn more and more about who you really are in him and you will see past the mask that many of us wear.

So I pray for peace and understanding to come upon you all and may you find truth and wisdom as your time in this life progresses. Till next time peace be with you and God Bless!

Getting back to the basics.

Praises be to my Lord for he has brought me much peace. I was slipping away back into my old sins once again. But I cried out to God and he heard my prayers. I've got to get back to the basics sometimes. I get so far ahead of myself that I end up forgetting the simple truths of recovery.

Honesty is a must for anyone trying to get over a bad habit. I know I feel ashamed that I gave in again to a sin and don't want to confess it yet again. But confession is so important if we want to find freedom. I know it's like a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders. I feel so much more peaceful and happy. I just need to do what needs to be done. So it's time to get focused and get walking back down the path of righteousness. Praise God!!!

Figuring out the opposite sex

Women are people. Not trophies, not pieces of meat, and not just things to be used for our pleasure. They are physical, spiritual and emotional people meant to help us men find our way in becoming all we can be. That's why they always try to push us because they see what we could be and not what we are. Just like God does.

Many men get angry at this and say "Oh she's always trying to change me." But the truth is she's not trying to change your personality, but she's trying to help you improve your character. I never understood this before now, but now I see. God created woman from man and all her life she searches eagerly for her lifemate who she is meant to help become whole. Man also has this desire to find our lifemate, only we don't see it as a person to improve, but yet just a person to be there and hold. For the word says "it is not good for man to be alone."

As men we just want somebody to hang out with and enjoy the company of, but for many women they like to look for a project, something they can work on. It's not either of our faults, we where made like this. So as long as we are single we will always be looking for the one scoping out girls and hoping that maybe she is the companion that we search for so dearly and eagerly. It fills our minds everyday wondering maybe today will be the day.

Now looking lustfully at girls we don't even know, or that we do know for that matter, is completely wrong and against God's will for us. The truth is how can you possibly know if you like someone by the way they look. You can't, and if you do desire them for this reason then you are lusting after them. Now we men are built to be visually stimulated. Of this I have no doubt for it is something I can not change no matter how hard I try. But this visual stimulation is meant for the right time with the right person. The way girls dress now a days makes it difficult for us men to keep our eyes and minds clean from lustful thoughts. In fact we get encouraged to do so by other men that think this is what men are all about. But deep down I believe all men want the same thing. That one life companion who they where meant to be with. The one who will be there to welcome them home everyday, to hold in times of difficulty and troubles, and to encourage them to help them grow into a better man.
