Put Your Hand In The Hand Of The Man Who Stilled The Water!!!

Many times the Christian walk is not the easiest walk in life. In fact it is much harder than my previous life, but it is undoubtedly the best life I could be living.

I still have much fear inside of me when it comes to going through some of the dark valleys that Jesus is leading me through, but I know that what lies on the other side is well worth the journey. My enemy is like a roaring lion just waiting to pounce anytime I make a mistake. He is cunning, baffling, and powerful. But he is absolutely nothing compared to my God. Many times I find myself in tears feeling utterly destroyed inside. He's always telling me how useless I am and how big of a failure I am in my Christian walk. These of coarse are his lies in order to discourage me. Sometimes he does quite well in his attacks and his arrows pierce deep, and sometimes I am ready and equipped with the full armour God has given me, which can be found in Ephesians 6:13-18. I must remember to equip this armour daily in order to get through this dark valley I find myself being led through.

However I do consider myself a disciple of Christ and am willing to go through such dark places in order to receive the prize at the other end. I encourage you to put your faith in the man who stilled the water of the storm and allow him to guide you through the storms of your life. But be comforted for he is the God who is in control and although all may seem hopeless and impossible, with him all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

    Take care and God Bless

    Lies Lies Lies

Excerpt Lyrics from lies by Billy talent

    Lies they make it better
    Lies they are forever
    Lies to go home to
    Lies you wake up to
    Lies from the alter
    Lies make you falter
    Lies keep your mouth fed
    Lies till your death bed

    Lies

As I progress in my walk with God there is one thing that is so hard to take. It is all the lies that we have all been taught by this world. So I pray that you will all find the way, the truth, and the life. That is Jesus Christ. I have no more to say right now.

    Religion VS God

Many people in our society today equate religion and God as being one thing. This thinking and is entirely wrong. Religion and God are two entirely different things as a matter of fact. For the most part when people see a godly person they automatically call him a religious person. Although believing in God does have it's religious sides; most religious beliefs, rituals, and traditions are man made and completely worthless.

This is what Jesus taught when he was here on earth. The Pharisees and Saducees where a group of men who where extremely religious and tried to make it look like, from an outside perspective, that they where upholding all the different areas of the law and its rituals, customs, and traditions. But in there hearts they where far from God. (see Matthew 23)

It makes me sad to see so many people deceived in believing that it's all about "boring bible studies" and "boring church services". I assure you that with the Holy Spirit, both are quite exciting. But it's not so much about going to church or doing the outward gestures. The real Christian life is a personal relationship with God, which I believe can only be found through Jesus Christ. It is an exciting life of growth and challenges. And best of all is that that relationship we always wanted from others, the one where the person completely understands and knows us, but just unconditionally loves us anyway, comes only from God. And all we have to do is pursue it and we can have that, because God's love is perfect love. It's the best part, I find, of the Christian life.

Not that true religion doesn't exist; it says what true religion is in the bible in James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress (which could mean anyone in real need) and to keep oneself from being corrupted by the world." NNIV

So please don't get caught up in the religious rituals so many Christians have gotten into over the years, but search out who God truly is and what he wants for your life and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

May the Lord bless and show you the pathway to righteousness and peace.

    Does Gravity Exist?

    Does gravity exist?

Well I think most of us would say,"Of coarse it exists." But I ask you, how do we know it exists? We can not see it, touch it, smell it, hear it, or taste it. Not even one of our senses can sense gravity. Yet we are all so sure that gravity exists. Why?

It's because we can see the effects of it all around us. Even though we can not see gravity in itself, when we look around we can see everything bound to the earth. Unless they use some force to counter the gravitational pull, like a bird or plane. Gravity is the unseen force that binds all things to the earth. I think we would all agree on this.

Yet when it comes to the existence of God, there are so many people who deny he exists. God is in a way like gravity. He is the unseen force holding all existence together. Without him nothing that exists, would exist. This is even found in the bible in John 1:3. To deny God's existence is like denying the existence of gravity. Just because we can not sense him with our physical senses doesn't mean he is not there. Only a fool would claim that gravity doesn't exist. In my opinion the same is true about God, for we can see the effects of his existence all around us. Even in existence itself. Everything that exists,in itself,is a miracle of miraculous proportions.

Now it's one thing to accept that God exists. But it's an entirely different question altogether who he is and if we can know him personally. I assure you that if you can get to the point where you can accept that he is there, then perhaps you may be willing to search to find out if you can know anything about who he is. And that's the real question to be asked. You already know my answer. I urge you to find your own. Take care and God Bless.

    Luke 11:9-10
"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

    Baptism in water!!!

I just went to a baptism, in water, the other day in Vegreville. It was quite the cool experience to see those people take the next step in there walk with God. Unfortunately I don't get to see that to often, because The Salvation Army doesn't baptize in water, for whatever reason. Not that it matters, cause if God calls us to be baptized, our adherent's simply have to go to a different church to get it done. I was baptized at a woman's house who's bible study I was in. The Spirit told me it was time, so I asked her and her husband, and they did it in there bath tub.

Why my church doesn't do it, is quite boggling to my mind. When the Word of God clearly states it should be done. But I know God led me to my church and I know his Spirit is in my home church. I see him working all the time. Still I think the Salvation Army has to wake up on this, cause it's really dumb that it's adherent's have to go elsewhere to be baptized.

Some believe baptism in water has to be done in order to go to heaven. I assure you that they are wrong. I think it's very good and important, but I do believe it is not necessary to get into heaven. Many people would disagree with me on that point, but I have much to make my case with.

First of all, I was re-born and came into the family of Jehovah God two years before I was baptized in water. There was one thing, and one thing only that allowed me into the family of God. And that was accepting and confessing the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and believing he was my saviour. Nothing else gets us to God but that. Not water baptism, communion, or any other rituals can get us to God. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, but through him.

Secondly there was that man on the cross beside Jesus who repented and confessed who Jesus was and asked for forgiveness. Jesus told him he would be in paradise with him, and he was forgiven of all of his sins without being baptized.

Still though I believe baptism is an outward gesture of an inward working. It is our hearts that God looks at and that need to be baptized and only he has the power to do that. But I certainly pray that God will set the Army straight and get them to start water baptizing again, because I really enjoy seeing people giving themselves over to the care of God. Not to mention the heart touching testimonies of God's awesome grace and power.

Wow we truly have an awesome God. Praises be to him now and forever more!!!
